As per the Energy Conservation Act 2001, it is mandatory for all the designated energy consumers to get energy audit conducted by an accredited energy auditor and to designate or appoint an energy manager. Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India has specified that the essential qualification for a certified energy manager and certified energy auditor would be passing of a National Level Certification Examination . The fifth Examination for Energy Managers and Energy Auditors is scheduled on 17 & 18, November 2007. National Productivity Council (NPC) has been retained by BEE as the National Certifying Agency for the above certification examination.
